

Play Interventions for children who have experienced developmental trauma
About
This training is divided into two halves. The first half of the session is focused on the theoretical underpinnings of play. We explain the triggers to behaviour and offer an understanding of the reparative nature of play.
The second half of the session is spent practically engaging parents/carers in playful, therapeutic activities which they can use, upon return from the training.
Aims and Objectives
- To develop a foundation knowledge of playful approaches in keeping with structure, nurture, engagement and challenge.

- To develop an understanding of the impact trauma has on a child's development.

- To develop and understanding of how interacting with children can be effective in promoting attachment.
​
- To develop a repertoire of games that can be shared to enhance participants bonds with thier children.
